Australian Billionaire Snaps Up World’s ‘Fastest’ Hypercar in Beijing

Nick Politis is a major Australian business figure and owns about 28 percent of the country’s largest car dealership holding company.

Australian car dealership billionaire and football club chairman, Nick Politis, has secured a Chinese-made Yangwang U9 Xtreme, an electric “hypercar” that currently holds the title of the world’s fastest production vehicle.

The deal was reached at the 2026 Beijing Motor Show, where the chair of the Sydney Roosters rugby league club centred around Bondi, met with BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu.
