Leaders of more than 20 aid agencies urged the international community on Sept. 17 to intervene in Gaza, calling on all parties to “disavow violence against civilians ... and pursue peace.”

The joint statement by aid groups, including the Norwegian Refugee Council, Save the Children, and Action for Humanity, said states must use every available tool at their disposal. The letter did not mention the Hamas terrorist group or the Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.
