WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump announced on May 5 that the NFL Draft will be held in the nation’s capital in 2027 on the National Mall.

“Every year, hundreds of young football players have their dreams come true, as the NFL teams across the land—and you just saw that last week—select the best young players in America to join their ranks,” Trump said in the Oval Office.
