Houston police are looking for several suspects who can be seen on video attacking a man and stealing bags filled with cash in broad daylight.

The Aug. 16 robbery, known colloquially as a “bank jugging,” took place near the Texas Medical Center in Houston, KHOU reported.

A bank jugging is when thieves look for potential victims coming out of the bank with cash, follow them, and then rob them.

KHOU reported that the victim had pulled out cash from a nearby bank and pulled into a parking lot before he was ambushed by two assailants after getting out of his truck, the Houston Chronicle reported.

The robbers pushed him to the ground and hit him in the head before making off with bags of cash. It’s not clear how much was stolen, and it is not clear if the victim was seriously injured.

The suspects fled the scene in a dark blue Toyota sedan.

Anyone with information about the robbery are urged to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
