Republicans on the House Oversight Committee have cast doubt on the accuracy of the National Archives’ previous letter on its role in a raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in light of recent reports.

Oversight members, led by ranking member James Comer (R-Ky.), wrote a letter (pdf) to U.S. Acting Archivist Debra Wall on Aug. 30. They claimed the federal agency “potentially misrepresented” its coordination with the Justice Department in the previous response.
