Clinical trials for a new COVID-19 vaccine were halted after a multimillion-dollar contract authorized by the Biden administration to develop the vaccine was paused by Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Kennedy implemented a 90-day stop work order on Feb. 21 regarding the HHS contract with Vaxart Inc., according to the announcement, which was first reported by Fox News Digital on Feb. 25.
