The building was evacuated per standard protocols, and there is currently no threat to employees or the public, officials said.

Envelopes containing white powder were discovered at 26 Federal Plaza, Lower Manhattan, on Thursday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams said in an Aug. 14 X post.

The building houses various federal agencies such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the FBI.
