CNN fired a senior producer of anchor Jake Tapper’s Sunday show for alleged inappropriate behavior.
The announcement follows the firing of NBC’s Matt Lauer and NPR’s Garrison Keillor for inappropriate behavior. About a week ago, CBS and PBS newsman Charlie Rose was fired over similar allegations.
Teddy Davis was a senior producer on CNN’s “State of the Union,” which was hosted by Jake Tapper. The Washington Post reported that three women complained about Davis’s behavior.
“When CNN executives were told about these complaints, they reacted swiftly and appropriately, as they should. Workplaces need to be safe and I am fully supportive of CNN’s action,” he wrote.
