Shocking: Two Old Dogs Left Outside During Winter Storm Jonas
A video posted on Facebook is currently going viral, sparking criticism at the owners’ treatment of two dogs shut outside during the storm in Brooklyn, New York. The two short-haired pit bulls can be heard whimpering and moaning inside a barren shed, with no protection from the cold blizzard.
“No food since yesterday. No water since they have out all night and it’s been below freezing,” wrote Evelyn Costa, the poster of the video. “Why are these people allowed to keep these poor animals is beyond reason. News 12 should pay them a visit.”
16 year old arthritic dog left out on president street between franklin and Bedford in crown heights in uninsulated shack since last night. 13 years of neglect and counting. No thanks to 311 dep police ASPCA elected officials for allowing this never ending torture to continue. Why are these people allowed to keep these poor animals is beyond reason. News 12 should pay them a visit.

Later in the evening, after a full day, the 71st Precinct NYDPD showed up and forced the owners to bring the dogs inside. Costa wrote that the owners had to shovel a snow trail to retrieve the two dogs. The treatment of dogs have been going on for 13 years.
“13 years we neighbors have listened to these suffering animals while the owners kept tossing them out right after the police ASPCA walked out the door. Maybe something good will finally happen fit the dogs,” wrote Costa.
The incident will be investigated by the ASPCA, and NYPD. This isn’t the first time neighbors have complained about animal cruelty related to the recent storm. Another dog was found frozen in nearby New Jersey.
