Skillet Lasagna checks all the boxes.

This Skillet Lasagna is like my lazy version of the classic; it comes together in one skillet (yes, really!), and it’s on the table in about 30 minutes! It has all the cheesy, saucy, comforting goodness of classic lasagna and it’s extra kid-friendly. Less mess, less stress, and all the lasagna flavor? That’s a win in my book!

How to Make Skillet Lasagna

Brown Beef: Sauté ground beef in olive oil over medium-high heat. Season with salt and pepper, brown fully, and drain excess grease.

Assemble: Add garlic, onion, pasta sauce, and seasonings. Season with salt and pepper, to taste then bring sauce to a simmer. Stir in dry pasta and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until pasta is tender, about 13–15 minutes. Stir in mozzarella and parmesan, then dollop ricotta on top. Cover the pan for a few minutes to warm the cheese.

Serve: Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy immediately with a side salad or french green beans and breadsticks or garlic rolls.
