Police are searching for the driver of a silver car after he or she caused the deaths of three people before fleeing the scene.

The driver’s car hit a black BMW on Sunday morning around 2 a.m., causing the BMW to hit a tree and burst into flames on Duval Station Road.

Three people inside the BMW made it out of the vehicle, but died at the scene.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the silver car fled the scene, reported CBS47.

The exact car hasn’t been identified but officers believe it’s a newer-model car that could have damage to the driver’s side.

Tasha Schell said one of the victims was 23-year-old Kyle Cassani.

“We just want help to find out who these people were to know what they did. They destroyed the lives of a woman with a 7-month-old baby and all the rest of us,” she told News4.

“That’s so wrong. You never should’ve did that. These people did not deserve that. You need to come forward and pay for your consequences or whatever you did even if you were drunk or whatever. You need to come forward and admit you’re wrong. Killing three people, please.”
