Dawn Cousins, a mom-of-four, says that she is “too beautiful” to find love
“Number one - obviously I’m a very attractive woman, number two - I’m very young, number three - I’m very fun and I’m not your typical 44-year-old woman with four children,” she said on “This Morning.”
“They feel like I need to lower my standards to find someone that is a similar age as me and just settle down before they put me in a nursing home,” she said on the TV program. “But I am saying no because I have the advantage of looking good so I want someone I am really attracted to and connect to emotionally. I want to enjoy the second part of my life. I am not just going to settle because I am 44 and not married.”
The statement, when made on the show, rendered a strong response from the show’s viewers as well as social media commenters, who said that she’s big-headed. But according to Cousins, her children have told her the same thing and she’s persisted in her quest.
She added: “I can’t date a fat, unattractive, old aged man when I look so young and beautiful… Guys over 40 are all putting on weight and the women have got a lot of wrinkles. I haven’t got any. I’m not in the same bracket as them.”
According to the Mirror, she’s been single since 2003. She is now planning to move to the United States to find the perfect mate.
She added on the show: “I sometimes wish I didn’t look so good, then I might attract the right kind of man I could spend my life with. I seem to get the men who are only after looks and not personality.”
“Those types are not the kind of person you want to spend your days with.”
