To add a little good humor to life during isolation, a man from Michigan bought a set of comedy false teeth. However, what transpired was something even funnier than planned when the man’s Yorkshire terrier got hold of them.

Luckily, Ben Campbell, from Michigan, quickly whipped out his camera to record his little dog, Thomas, with the fake teeth perfectly lodged in his mouth. In the ensuing video, Ben spots Thomas with the giant set of fake teeth already sticking out of his mouth, emulating an uncanny human-esque grin.

Ben attempts to beckon Thomas toward him, while the little dog hides behind furniture. Ben video-records the hilarious episode and catches glimpses of Thomas with his new dental apparatus in place. “Thomas, what are you doing? Hey buddy, what are you doing?” Ben manages to ask between bouts of side-splitting, infectious laughter.

Ben posted his hilarious footage on YouTube on April 14, 2020, captioned, “I got some fake teeth for some quarantine comic relief and, well ... Thomas stole them off of the table.” To date, the video has been viewed over 1.6 million times.
Speaking to Lad Bible, Ben explained that he bought the fake teeth on Etsy, an e-commerce website for bespoke, thrifted, and handmade goods. “I planned on making some wacky videos of myself with big teeth,” he said. “Thomas, my six-pound teacup Yorkie, got hold of them and as I chased him down to retrieve them, he had them locked in his mouth in the perfect position.”

Comments from highly amused viewers flooded in to fill the YouTube comments section after Ben’s video was posted online for all to enjoy.

I just woke up my entire house laughing harder than I have ever,“ wrote one person. ”This was so unexpected it laughed me out of bed. My wife and kids are so mad, none of them will watch it and I still can’t stop.”
“This made me a better person,” wrote another, “pure gold! Thomas is hilarious and your laugh had me crack up.”

“I’m finally gonna get those quarantine abs just from laughing at this,” joked one netizen, while another reflected on Ben and Thomas’s viral appeal, posting, “Imagine being this dude. You’re just a YouTube user. Nobody knows who you are. Your dog does something funny. You upload it to YouTube and the next day it’s trending. Insane.”

As reported by the Daily Mail, Ben, a psychologist, later took to Facebook to voice his own shock at Thomas’s immediate viral fame. “Woah! Looks like Thomas is a virus! I mean ... he’s gone viral,” Ben joked.
Ben even set up an Instagram account, “Toothy Thomas,” to chronicle the various antics of his pint-sized pup.
According to the American Kennel Club, the Yorkshire terrier’s characteristic daintiness belies a feisty personality. The breed is said to be tenacious, brave, and sometimes bossy. The Yorkie is often named the most popular dog breed in various American cities and is a favorite among urban dwellers everywhere in the world.
According to Metro, Thomas’s hilarious gag with the fake gnashers was not Ben’s first foray into the funny world of fake teeth. The Michigan resident has been making music videos for his YouTube channel since 2008 and wears fake teeth in some of them just for laughs.
