Meanwhile, Pfizer executives are now claiming that COVID-19 could become endemic by 2024. In other words, the virus is likely here to stay. So does this mean the social control policies are also here to stay? The wording in some articles may give us hints.
CNBC says, “Endemic means the coronavirus will not disappear but rather will become a vaccinated-protected ailment like the flu.” Pfizer chief scientific officer Mikael Dolsten said, “It seems like over the next year or two, some regions will transition to an endemic model while other regions will continue in pandemic model.”
So what’s this “endemic model” as opposed to the current “pandemic model?” CNBC cites Nanette Cocero, global president of Pfizer Vaccines, during an investor call, noting that “Pfizer expects countries will prioritize annual revaccination.”
