Flyers apparently trying to enlist new KKK members were left on lawns in Mobile, Alabama on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The flyers were stuffed inside sandwich bags along with a few cards.

They were left on lawns in the Midtown neighborhood.

“I saw what was in it, some cards and a little flyer. I picked it up and read it and it pretty much shocked me,” one area resident, who declined to have his name made public, told Local 15

“It was like a recruitment card you know that people could join this order of the Ku Klux Klan.”

The flyer in part reads: The blacks have NAACP, the Mexicans have La Raza, the Jews have JDL, and white people have the KKK.”

Martin Luther King Jr. Day, honoring the civil rights activist, is on January 18.

The flyer also wishes King Jr. a happy birthday, although people who received the flyer says that part appears to be sarcastic.

The flyer also includes a number for the Loyal White Knights. Callers hear extreme messages about King Jr. in a graphic recording.
