U.S. authorities have arrested and charged a 41-year-old man from Syracuse, Utah, in a federal criminal complaint after he allegedly held a straight-edge razor blade against a woman during a flight.

On Nov. 21, the arrested individual, Merrill Darrell Fackrell, had departed on a JetBlue 871 flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York en route to Salt Lake City International Airport in Utah, according to a Nov. 23 press release by the Department of Justice (DOJ). He was sitting in a window seat close to a married couple.
