It could soon be risky to be an illegal immigrant in the United States. A law from 1996 is now being enforced by the Department of Homeland Security, which can fine illegal immigrants up to $998 each day they refuse to leave the country and can also allow the government to seize their assets. In addition to this, the White House is promoting a hotline for immigration enforcement, where anyone can anonymously report illegal immigrants to authorities. And alongside this, the Trump administration has now won a Supreme Court case on the enforcement of the Alien Enemies Act.
