The United States is once again colorblind, and a person’s race will no longer be used to give them better or worse treatment in hiring for positions at government agencies—at least not officially. President Donald Trump issued an executive order to end affirmative action for federal contractors. He also directed all federal staff working on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs to be put on leave. And it doesn’t end there. Trump also put an end to the orders and policies of the Biden administration that focused on race politics.
