There’s an international effort to overthrow the U.S. dollar as the world reserve currency. Doing this would break a key part of the U.S.-led world order, since it could disable America’s ability to use sanctions. This effort is mainly being pushed by the Chinese Communist Party and recently came to a head under BRICS. Yet now, President-elect Donald Trump is calling out this effort directly, and is saying any country involved in this effort will soon face 100 percent tariffs.
