The sea can be unpredictable at times, and strike when we least expect it.
Last week, an elderly couple was walking along a path on a beach, in Portsall, France. As soon as the couple started to walk down to the shoreline, a rogue wave came blasting towards them. By the time they tried to back away, it was already too late.
Video footage captured the rogue wave crashing in on the septuagenarians while a handicapped man filmed what happened next.
The elderly man got caught by the wave and fell, without being able to get up. The woman, realizing what had happened, quickly ran after him, only to be swept up as well.
The couple was fortunately rescued by another passerby. Both were taken to the hospital, and neither were seriously injured, reported the HuffPost.
