Existing home sales across the United States fell by 0.5 percent in April and were down 2 percent from a year earlier, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported. However, home prices continued to rise, reaching an all-time high for the month.

Sales include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and co-ops.
