Nearly 40 Percent More Home Sellers Than Buyers in November: Redfin

The gap is more than double November last year. Home prices rose nearly 5 percent in seller’s markets and 1.1 percent in buyer’s markets year over year.

The tide could be turning for America’s housing market, as Redfin has revealed that there were 37 percent more home sellers than buyers in November.

In its Dec. 23 report, Redfin stated that the November percentage represented the biggest gap on record dating back to 2013, aside from summer 2025. By comparison, the gap stood at 35.6 percent in October 2025 and 17 percent in November 2024.
