A true holiday event, the iconic and massive Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be illuminated by five miles of environmentally friendly LED lights and crowned with a Swarovski crystal star. Typically, tens of thousands show up for this event and many millions more watch it broadcast live.

1950s Christmas in a 1850s House
The holiday innovations of the 1850s were so good that they endured into the 1950s and up to today. Take a nostalgic trip back to the 1950s at the Merchants House Museum. The historic 1832 home will be decked out with vintage trees, over-the-top tinsel decorations, and memorabilia from the golden age of Christmas. Expect some classic Christmas music too. Pieces are from the collection of Deb O'Nair.
