A woman pets a beagle transferred from Ridglan Farms on Marshall, Wis. on June 15, 2026. The research facility is closing, and its remaining dogs are being taken in by Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Ridglan Farms, a beagle breeding and biomedical research facility, met with protests in March and April, with an estimated 1,000 activists clashing with police during an attempt to rescue the dogs. Last year, a special prosecutor found the facility had engaged in mistreatment of the animals. Health Secretary Robert F.
