A Florida man may face criminal charges after he posted a photo on Facebook of his dog’s muzzle taped shut.
Bryan Futur Gomez of Daytona Beach posted the picture, telling other users to “start judging your reasons.”
“Or choose from the following reasons,” he wrote.
“A. Because he was chewing on all the stuff and trash on the floor that’s on that orange box. B. Because he was play biting and hurting a small fragile female chihuahua dog. C.Because he was crying super loud when he was being dealt with and handled with. Causing to wake up my roommates. D. Or all of the above.”
If his post received more than 400 likes, then Gomez said he would reveal the correct answer. He later updated the post and said it was “D,” or “all of the above.”
“It was done for emergency purposes because you discipline your dog at the very moment he’s doing something wrong. Not later because he probably won’t know why you’re punishing him leading to no lesson learned,” he added.
The Daytona Beach Police Department said in a statement after the photo emerged that Animal Control officers are aware of the post “and currently are attempting to identify the person responsible and determine if any charges are to be filed.”
“No further information is available,” the department added. “No police report has been initiated.”
