The tickets were sold out two months in advance. It was the company’s 37th performance across nine German cities in the 2024 season.

Throughout the evening, the audience was spellbound, and applause filled the venue from the moment the curtains parted.

Sergio Zunino, the managing director and chairman of a corporate supervisory board, said happily after the show, “I saw Shen Yun in Frankfurt last year, and I liked it very much. So, I decided to bring my family this year.”

“It’s very exciting. [The performers’] artistry was superb, and the coordination between the backdrop animation, the dancers, and [the other elements] was fascinating. Very well done.”

He loved Shen Yun’s innovative 3D technology.

“The scenes were extremely beautiful! The stage design, dancers’ formations, and characters portrayed were all very good,” Mr. Zunino expressed.

“The dances were really beautiful, and each told a beautiful story. In the past few centuries, we lost these tales—that’s why it is nice to see it revived here.”

Mr. Zunino thought this was very important because “people can get close to each other again, listen to each other until the stories’ end, and understand the meanings behind each story.”

He lamented that “because people’s lives are so fast today, some people can only hear the beginning of the story but not the end. They often miss the key point—the finishing touch. That’s why we need what’s been shown here. This is what we’re missing right now, and it has been revived.”

“I think it’s helpful to reflect on these themes—not necessarily to change immediately, but just inspire people to think about them again is very good.”

It may be difficult, but it will certainly change, he said. “A lot of big empires [in history] fell, and then new ones emerged. That’s exactly what’s happening here—something new is emerging to bring about change positively. That’s good news!”

“Every big country will change its dynasty at some point. Judging from the current situation, China will definitely change at some point.”

“Outstanding. [Shen Yun] is extraordinary. It brought us so many new things that we have yet to learn—it’s impressive,” Jana Stachowiak exclaimed after the show.

Mrs. Stachowiak and her husband, Dirk, own a consulting company specializing in financial and pension planning. Their firm was named the 2024 Customer Champion after excelling in national competitions for expertise, friendliness, advice, and service.

Whenever the couple saw Shen Yun’s brochure and advertisements, Mrs. Stachowiak thought, “We must go and watch it.” Entering the theater not knowing what to expect, they were pleasantly surprised.

The program featuring female dancers using yellow fans to mimic blooming flowers was “100% perfect,” Mrs. Stachowiak said. She also loved the piece where the dancers’ long sleeves flowed like gentle water movements and thought it was “the embodiment of perfectionism.”

They will be recommending Shen Yun to all their relatives and friends.

“There is no doubt that this is a must-see performance. This is not a performance that can be seen everywhere, but an extraordinary performance,” Mrs. Stachowiak stated.

“These are very outstanding dances. Why are they not allowed to perform? This is difficult for us who live in a democratic country to understand.”

Erle Bosma, a dance therapist and psychotherapist, was very touched by the spiritual elements of Shen Yun’s performance.

“So much perfection and beauty were displayed on the stage—it deeply touched my heart. I believe that [Shen Yun] is calling for each and everyone’s heart with this beauty and perfection,” she said.

“I feel that spirituality is very lacking in our world right now, and we must return to it. Everyone can cultivate this perfection in their hearts, not just through dance. We saw this in the performance.”

She would like to thank Shen Yun for bringing beauty to the world.

“Each of us has a part of the divinity in our hearts. We must live out this part. Then, the world will become a better place. I like it very much. This was reflected in the performance, and it struck me. The world is not just about war and disease—now people dream again,” she said.

“I really want to thank the artists for being able to show so much perfection—so much joy, too. You can see it on their faces. It really is a beautiful piece. It touches you very deeply inside. Keep going. Touching the whole world.”
