The official Xbox Games With Gold free list for September 2014 includes Super TIME Force for Xbox One.
Microsoft also said that Monaco and Halo: Reach will be available for Xbox 360.
Monaco, an indie heist game, will be available from September 1 through September 15.
Halo: Reach, the last Halo game from Bungie, will be available from September 16 through September 30.
Monaco is typically priced at $14.99 while Halo: Reach is typically priced at $24.99.
Both Super TIME Force and last month’s Xbox One entry, Crimson Dragon, will be available for free for the next-gen platform from September 1 through September 30. The inclusion of last month’s game is sure to be heavily criticized by gamers.
Super TIME Force normally costs $14.99.
“Super Time Force began with a simple concept: merge side-scrolling classic Contra with a ’time-reversal' hook to create a unique action-shooting experience. Super Time Force throws a lot of enemies and projectiles at you at once, but don’t despair – if you mess up, you can press a button to rewind to a point where you can do it all over again, the right way,” according to Microsoft.
“But that’s not all; your ‘ghost’ (the replay of the playthrough where you just died) will continue to fight alongside you for the new try, turning even your screw-ups into helpful teamwork opportunities. You might say that’s mighty neighborly of... yourself.”
