US Imposes 17 Percent Tariff on Fresh Tomato Imports From Mexico

The United States has imposed a 17 percent tariff on most imports of fresh tomatoes from Mexico over its alleged unfair trade practices, the Commerce Department said on July 14.

The department stated that it was issuing an antidumping duty order to measure the percentage by which Mexican tomatoes have been sold in the United States at unfairly low prices.
