UK’s First Consumption Room for Illegal Drugs Approved

A multi-million pound facility will be manned by medical staff in Glasgow where up to 500 people inject drugs regularly.

The UK’s first-ever drug consumption room has been approved in Scotland, allowing users to take illegal substances under medical supervision.

The £2.3 million facility is planned for Glasgow, where up to 500 people inject drugs “on a regular basis.”
