A recent study conducted in Quebec that discovered women who choose to have abortions are more likely to face mental health challenges in the long run, echos what many women already know, Conservative MP Leslyn Lewis says.
Researchers at the University of Montreal hospital, the University of Sherbrooke in Quebec, and McGill University, tracked 1.2 million pregnancies in more than 11 million women for up to 17 years after they had an abortion or gave birth, the study published in July in the Journal of Psychiatric Research noted.
