Students Put Off Leaving Home for University Over Cost of Living: Report

One in five A-level students plan to live at home while attending university, according to a new report which suggests the cost of living crisis is limiting educational choices.

The COVID Social Mobility and Opportunities (COSMO) study has found students from disadvantaged backgrounds are more likely to plan to study locally than their peers, with “cost concerns” possibly a driver of the decision.
