Skilled migrants are more likely to be employed and earning a personal income compared to average Australians, according to new data presented to a Senate committee.

During a parliamentary inquiry on March 25, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) revealed that 88 percent of skilled permanent migrants reported a personal income, compared to 79 percent of the total Australian population.
