Assistant Foreign Minister Matt Thistlethwaite believes the relationship between Australia and the United States is strong despite Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s delayed meeting with President Donald Trump.

Previously, there had been hopes he would secure such a meeting at the U.N. General Assembly in New York.
