Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre called for the Liberals to not only continue with their plan to table a Fall Economic Statement hours after Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigned from cabinet, but to allow it to be put to a vote as a matter of confidence on the same day.

“The answer is just for them to table [the fall economic statement], and let’s vote up or down,” Poilievre told reporters on Dec. 16.
