RCMP in Nova Scotia have arrested a man who was the subject of an emergency alert issued to residents in the province’s Lunenburg County on May 14.

Richard MacInnis, 44, of Nova Scotia, was wanted by police on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for violating parole conditions, and was believed to be armed at the time the emergency alert was sent out, RCMP said in a release.
