Authorities confiscated nearly $7 million of suspected heroin from a tractor trailer trying to cross from the United States into Ontario at the Peace Bridge in the province’s Niagara Region.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members assigned to the multi-agency Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST), which includes the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), launched an investigation last month into suspected drug trafficking activities and alleged importation of heroin from the United States into Canada.
