More Soldiers, Police Powers for Sydney as Australian State Looks to Toughen COVID Measures

Sydney will see 500 more troops on the streets, while New South Wales (NSW) Police Commissioner Mick Fuller will be granted more powers to enforce COVID-related public health orders.

Currently, Australia’s most populous state has extended restrictions to eight local government areas (LGA), in regional areas north of Sydney.
