SRINAGAR, India—A suicide bomber rammed a car bomb into a bus carrying Indian paramilitary police in Kashmir on Feb. 14, killing 44 of them in the deadliest attack in decades on security forces in the disputed region.
The Pakistan-based Islamic terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility for the attack. The Indian government demanded that Islamabad take action against terrorist groups operating from its soil.
