State police and chief of India’s northeastern Assam state paid tribute to five police officers who were killed during clashes with border state Mizoram on Tuesday.
At least seven people, including six police officers, were killed and more than 70 hurt on Monday in clashes between the two Indian states, as a weeks-long territorial dispute in the country’s northeast turned deadly.
