A federal government employee is one of three people facing the Darwin Local Court today, facing fraud and corruption charges over the awarding of a multi-million dollar defence contract.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) began an investigation in March this year after receiving a report from the Department of Defence about “irregularities” identified during an internal investigation into the awarding of contracts worth almost $71 million to a Northern Territory business.
