Germany Optimistic EU Ascension Talks With Ukraine Can Start Soon

Brussels agreed to formally open the process with the war-torn state, as well as with Moldova, last week.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on June 10 that he is optimistic European Union accession negotiations with Ukraine can start soon.

Wadephul was speaking during a joint press conference in Berlin with his counterpart, Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orban.
