Germans are increasingly concerned about public safety, with almost half saying they feel unsafe in public spaces, a survey published on Nov. 8 has discovered.

According to the Deutschlandtrend survey, 48 percent of the German public now feel uneasy in public squares, streets, parks, and on public transport. That figure represents an almost 100 percent increase since 2015.
