The father of a 17-year-old Ontario boy who died in September 2021 has launched a fundraiser to raise money to sue the federal government, alleging that his son died after being required to take a Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine to play hockey.

Dan Hartman maintains that his son Sean died 33 days after his first COVID-19 vaccine, saying in an Aug. 3 video message that his claim to the Canada Vaccine Injury Support Program was denied. The father said the program told him there was “no proof” the vaccine was responsible for his son’s death.
