At Least 4 People Killed, More Than 200 Injured as Strong Quake Hits Japan

TOKYO—Four people were killed and more than 200 other people injured after walls collapsed in a magnitude 6.1 earthquake that hit Osaka in western Japan on Monday, June 18, according to officials.
According to The Japan Times, a 9-year-old girl in Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture, has been confirmed dead after she was struck by a collapsing wall. A man in his 80s from Ibaraki, Osaka Prefecture, has also been killed after he was crushed by a bookshelf at his home.
