The equivalent of more than 3,000 classrooms’ worth of children are lost to abortion every year in Australia, as the nation grapples with its lowest birthrate in 90 years.

At the same time, abortion has—in just the last two weeks—became one of the most pervasive topics in the 2024 Queensland election.
