President Donald Trump has received the support of 70,000 Cambodian Buddhist monks for recognition by the Nobel Committee for his peacemaking efforts.

The monks made a public statement on Aug. 19 saying they are wholeheartedly supportive of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet in his nomination of the U.S. president for the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this month.
