A chicken schnitzel at a pub could cost as much as $40 (US$26.46) if natural gas is banned, the vice president of the Australian Hotels Association has warned.

Australian Hotels Association State President David Basheer told pub owners during an annual Christmas luncheon that a ban on new gas connections could drive up the price of pub favourites.
