A woman who was told to stop smoking on an MTA bus in New York City soon stole the vehicle and drove it around before being arrested on Tuesday morning.

The woman, in her 50’s, became upset after the driver told her to stop smoking.

She became disruptive, forcing the driver to pull over so passengers could catch another bus while the situation was resolved.

But the woman then leapt behind the wheel and sped off as the driver helped passengers off the bus.

After driving several blocks, though, another bus blocked the woman’s path at East 100th Street and Third Avenue, reported NBC

She was taken to Metropolitan Hospital for evaluation. The charges against her weren’t immediately clear.
