The Wimbledon 2013 tournament will take place for a second straight week starting Monday.
Novak Djokovic is slated to play later in the day against Tommy ‘Indian Summer’ Haas.
Earlier on Monday, Serena Williams was knocked out of the tournament by Sabine Lisicki.
“I probably couldn’t be more disappointed,” Williams told USA Today. “I think I may have backed off of a success. I was playing something successful. I didn’t continue that path. The result didn’t go the way it could have gone had I continued to play the way I did in the second set.”
Williams won 34 consecutive matches before she lost to Lisicki, who hails from Germany.
Britain’s Laura Robson also lost to Kaia Kanepi
Murray beat Mikhail Youzhny. “He has played very well this tournament and had some good wins. He’s a very talented player and he’s a lefty and I have not played a left all year so I will have to get practicing returning some lefty serves,” Murray said of his next quarter-final with Fernando Verdasco, according to the BBC.
