Welsh Couple Stumble Upon Not Black Friday 2014 in NYC, and Leave Unimpressed

NEW YORK—Black Friday 2014 left Marshall and Jan John a bit cold. They came from Wales for the occasion of Jan’s birthday. Just by a coincidence they went shopping on Black Friday.

They bought some cosmetics and accessories in Macy’s. Some were cheaper than in Britain, but they didn’t notice any extraordinary sales.

The same held true for Sephora—no sales there that caught Jan’s eye.
